About the Role!

We are looking for a Technical Sales Lead to lead our sales efforts while also ensuring seamless project scoping and solution definition. This hybrid role combines strategic sales expertise with a strong understanding of technical requirements, bridging the gap between client needs and our development team. The ideal candidate is both customer-centric and solutions-driven, capable of guiding leads through the sales pipeline while accurately defining project scope to ensure successful delivery.

Given that we are a custom software development company, the candidate must have technical knowledge across a diverse range of technologies and solutions, allowing them to effectively assess client needs and align them with the right technical approach.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Pipeline Management

  • Proactively drive leads through our sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups and engagement.
  • Understand various business models and the unique perspectives/motivators of small businesses, mid-market, and enterprise companies.
  • Identify pain points, assess business cases, and articulate the ROI of working with us.
  • Engage key decision-makers using effective sales strategies and a consultative, customer-centric approach.
  • Clearly define and communicate the scope of work to clients, ensuring alignment on expectations and value.
  • Manage and update leads within HubSpot, following established sales SOPs for each deal.

Solutions Engineering & Scope Definition

  • Define clear project scope, including documenting required features and functionalities.
  • Act as a Solutions Engineer, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with business needs.
  • Leverage knowledge of various programming languages, frameworks, cloud solutions, and architectures to provide high-level technical guidance.
  • Collaborate with engineers to refine project estimates and validate solutions.
  • Effectively translate client requirements into actionable development plans for our team.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong background in B2B sales, consultative selling, and technical solutioning.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of businesses, from startups to enterprises.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot (or similar CRM) and structured sales processes.
  • Deep understanding of custom software development technologies, including web and mobile applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and integrations.
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and collaborate with engineers to define solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • A structured thinker who can balance business needs with technical feasibility.
