We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team on a 3-month contract to drive critical security and infrastructure initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Azure Container Optimization
    • Lead the implementation of Azure's container-optimized OS for Kubernetes clusters.
    • Migrate existing Kubernetes worker nodes to use container-optimized images.
    • Automate the deployment and management of container-optimized nodes.
  • Security Vulnerability Management
    • Collaborate with the InfoSec team to identify and remediate critical vulnerabilities.
    • Develop automated processes for continuous patching and updating of Azure resources.
    • Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
  • Infrastructure Automation
    • Utilize tools like Helm, Terraform, and Azure DevOps to automate infrastructure tasks.
    • Update and maintain cluster utilities, including monitoring and security agents.
    • Optimize deployment pipelines for efficiency and reliability.
  • Kubernetes Expertise
    • Manage and maintain Kubernetes (K8s) clusters on Azure.
    • Implement best practices for Kubernetes security and scalability.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Kubernetes environments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with DevOps, Engineering, and Security teams to align on project goals.
    • Provide technical expertise and guidance on Azure best practices.
    • Document infrastructure configurations and procedures.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Azure services, specifically Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and containerization technologies.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Helm.
  • Familiarity with security best practices in Azure environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.
